Cedarburg Community Conversations
This month's topic: Building Peace and Safety in our Community
Join a conversation with a panel of local leaders about how we experience and maintain peace and safety while expressing our voices as a community. Our panelists will be Cedarburg Police Chief Mike McNerney, Cedarburg Fire Department Deputy Chief Blake Karnitz, and Keri Wuenstel, an organizer for Ozaukee Indivisible. The topic will be "Building Peace and Safety in Our Community".
Through partnership between the City of Cedarburg's Diversity Committee and the Cedarburg Public Library, the Cedarburg Community Conversations series aims to serve as a place to share local stories as a way of learning about each other, and building relationships and trust.
Each gathering is held on the third Monday of the following months and focuses on a theme:
2026 Themes
- Building Peace and Safety in our Community (May)
- Youth Voices/Disability Pride (July)
A guest panel of community members guided by a facilitator will share their stories and experiences, followed by refreshments and small group conversations in which attendees can connect with one another, and build community through fostering empathy and support.
These Conversations are open to the public and are intended as a space of learning, active listening, and mutual respect. No registration required at this time.
