An Afternoon of Poetry with Wisconsin Poet Andrea Potos

Wisconsin poet Andrea Potos will share poems from some recent collections of her poetry, including Her Joy Becomes and Marrow of Summer. Andrea’s poems explore generational loves and losses, mother-daughter bonds, the natural world, mindfulness, and writers of the past such as Emily Dickinson, the Bronte sisters, Louisa May Alcott and John Keats.

Recipient of five Outstanding Achievement Awards in Poetry from the Wisconsin Library Association and other awards, Andrea is the author of seven books of poetry, and two more forthcoming in 2025. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
