Summer Reading Programs for All Ages

SUMMER READING TIME IS HERE! This year the theme is, “Reading Colors Your World”. We have programs for ALL ages and tons of activities for you to enjoy. Enter the prize drawing at the end of July.

The kick-off event is June 12, 2021. Meet us at Cedar Creek Park from 10am-1pm or come to the library any time throughout the summer until July 31, 2021. To register, kids, teens, and adults will submit your name and contact information at the Information Desks. Kids and teens will record progress on a log sheet, while adults will fill out bookmarks to enter weekly and grand prize drawings.

KIDS’ SUMMER READING ACTIVITIES:

Discovering Bugs at Riveredge Nature Center June 11, 2021. Preschool age. Registration required through Riveredge.

Color of the Week: Learn fun color facts! Wear the color of the week and received extra raffle tickets! See online calendar for schedule.

Art of Movement Obstacle Course: June 23-30, 2021 (weather permitting). Try the outdoor chalk course!

Artists’ Alcove: Families explore a different artist every week through hands-on projects.

Tinker Lab: STEM activities and Grab ‘n Go kits.

Storytime at Centennial Park Gazebo: Mondays mornings from June 12-July 26, 2021 (except July 5, 2021).

Five Minute Flannels: Last Fridays in June, July, and August. Watch them online on our YouTube channel.

Quick Flick Movie Grab ‘n Go: Featuring Kanopy short flicks, activity/craft & popcorn!
